How the answer is worked out
This tool uses simple rules on your own answers. It is not artificial intelligence, and it does not know the real price history of the product.
Need score comes from how much you need it, how often you will use it, and whether you already own something similar. Impulse score goes up if it was unplanned, pushed by an ad or sale, uncompared, or not urgent. The decision score blends both with whether you can pay for it comfortably.
- BUY: the answers support buying, and you can pay comfortably.
- WAIT: a pause or more research makes sense.
- SKIP: the answers suggest you do not need it.
If you cannot pay comfortably, the answer is never BUY. The result is a thinking aid, not a diagnosis or financial advice. The decision is always yours.
Questions
Why does it not look up the price?
Because real price history needs a trusted data source. Without one, any score would be made up. This tool only uses what you tell it.
What if I want it anyway?
That is fine. Waiting 48 hours costs nothing and shows whether the want lasts.
Is my information saved?
No. Everything stays in your browser on this page.
Not sure? Give it 48 hours.
