What this policy covers
This policy covers the Chrome extension "CoolOff Cart: 48-Hour Purchase Pause" (the "extension"). The CartFreeze website at cartfreeze.com has its own Privacy Policy.
What the extension stores
When you freeze an item, the extension saves the following in your own browser, using Chrome's local extension storage on this device:
- the item name you type;
- the price you type (optional);
- the start and end time of the 48-hour pause, and what you decide afterwards (kept, bought or cancelled).
This information stays on your device. It is not sent to CartFreeze or to anyone else. The extension has no account, no login and no server of its own.
What the extension does not do
- It does not read the websites or pages you visit.
- It does not collect your browsing history, shopping carts, passwords, payment or card details, or personal information.
- It does not use analytics, advertising, trackers or cookies.
- It does not sell or share data, and it does not load or run code from the internet.
Please do not type bank, card or password details into the extension.
Why the extension asks for permissions
- storage: to save your freezes on your device.
- alarms: to know when your 48 hours are over.
- notifications: to show one reminder when a pause ends. You can turn notifications off in Chrome settings at any time.
The extension asks for no access to websites or tabs.
Deleting your data
Open the extension and press "Delete all my data", or remove the extension from Chrome. Either one erases everything the extension saved. Because the data lives only on your device, we cannot see it or recover it for you.
Links
The extension has links to cartfreeze.com. When you open a link, you are visiting the website, which is covered by its own Privacy Policy.
Children's privacy
The extension does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the extension changes how it handles information, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
